Pharos Expands into New Headquarters
Pharos has relocated its headquarters in Reading, Berkshire, from 44 West Street to 83/85 London Street. The new premises provide 6,000 square feet of floor space, three times the capacity of the former offices. Telephone and fax numbers remain unchanged.
Pharos director Roger Heath:
"44 West Street has served us well since we moved into Reading in 1998. Business has grown rapidly as broadcasters and independent facilities increasingly recognise the benefits of open-platform control compared with traditional hard-wired panel-per-product installations. We have a very efficient team but an expanding market means increasing demands on software design, engineering support, management and sales.
"One of the prime reasons for moving was to incorporate a projects area for full end-to-end testing prior to delivery. This allows us to ensure that each system is ready for on-site acceptance as soon as it reaches the end user.
"Pharos is in discussion with major equipment manufacturers, enabling workflow examples to be demonstrated with actual processing equipment rather than simulations. Suppliers now understand the importance of reliable equipment interconnection at every level, not just the main signal stream. Reliable interfacing is vital when planning workflow in an enterprise solution."
The new Pharos premises are easily accessible by road or rail with fast links to Reading from London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
