Pharos reports strong interest in file-based tapeless broadcasting among visitors to CABSAT, the Middle Easts leading annual exhibition of television and radio production and transmission equipment. The Pharos Mediator broadcast workflow management system was shown to CABSAT visitors for the first time with an expanded set of control options.

Provided the initial workflow studies are completed carefully, which is part of our preliminary routine, a Mediator system can be installed and commissioned without any interruption to normal broadcasting. The entire system is based on user-friendly web-browser-style control menus, essentially one page for each step along the path from ingest to playout. Training is far easier than with traditional hardware. Equally important to CABSAT visitors was the ease with which Mediator can be expanded to accommodate more channels in line with progressive business development."
