Pharos to demonstrate integrated Mediator 4 at CABSAT 2010
Playout and studio automation tools enhance productivity of industry leading broadcast workflow management platform.
Reading, United Kingdom - February 10th, 2010 - Pharos will be showing the latest version of its widely adopted Mediator broadcast workflow management platform which now includes its Pilot and Playtime systems within a highly integrated solution to help improve operational efficiency and drive down costs.
For its fourth year attending the event in Dubai, Pharos will be demonstrating Mediators strength in challenging multi-platform environments such as television, radio, VOD and mobile distribution.
For the first time, Pharos will be showing the full integration of Playtime into Mediator 4, providing a full-scale broadcast automation system that helps broadcasters and service providers publish content for both traditional channels and beyond.
Playtime allows the presentation requirements and content to be separated and managed independently according to schedule priority and media management workflows. Composing the output at transmission time based on business rules set for each target channel and distribution platform.
Additional enhancements to Mediator 4 include an advanced metadata system allowing information to be added, such as genre, cast, director and trivia. This information greatly enhances the value of content, making it simple to repurpose time and again for new delivery platforms such as VOD, podcasting and delivery to mobile platforms.
