Courses for every training requirement

All our courses are open to new and existing customers. Pharos training courses are tailored to your individual system and workflow. In addition we offer training to system integrators and third party technology vendors.

Operational Courses are designed for every level of user:

  • Mediator: for content management and efficient workflow
  • Playtime: multi-channel playout and presentation
  • Pilot: unified device control and monitoring

A practical and cost effective option is to train 'Super Users' to extend training to all operational staff and clients.

We also offer comprehensive maintenance courses for all Pharos solutions incorporating:

  • System architecture and associated IT for a good understanding of simplified and streamlined implementation
  • System administration for straightforward workstation, user and task management
  • Pharos Information Centre used to carry out remote diagnostics and general maintenance

As a minimum, we recommend training is provided for support and maintenance staff. As an added module we can offer training for a number of key third-party technologies including Omneon and Isilon.

Course Objectives

Pharos training courses aim to teach a real understanding of your system rather than just concepts and key presses with the following main points:

  • System functionality
  • System operation
  • User Configuration
  • First-line maintenance

A full syllabus will be finalised subject to system configuration and understanding of your training aims.

Course delivery

We recommend small groups with of around 6 delegates. Our tutors will have specific knowledge of your system and will be able to answer questions accordingly. We ensure everyone gets valuable hands on experience and the highest level of attention. Delegates will be provided with a comprehensive training manual and a Pharos accredited training certificate.

Course locations

UK courses are delivered at our training facility at our headquarters in Reading, Berkshire. The benefit of off-site training means delegates can study away from the daily distractions of the workplace, with lunch and refreshments provided. Training can also be delivered at your site on the actual system under managed conditions. Course durations vary from 1 to 2 days.
