The Pilot task pack for Mediator is a proven and flexible device control platform for Broadcasters, Studios, Master Control Rooms and Post Houses.

Instead of the traditional space-consuming control panels, console real estate and operational efficiency can be significantly increased by using Pharos Pilot.

By bringing disparate devices into a unified control system, Pilot allows control panels to be built for the job at hand, removing unnecessary and distracting control elements.

In addition to integrated control, Pilot offers many plug-in modules to increase efficiency in common operational scenarios:

  • UMD's and Alias management
  • Virtual and physical monitor stack control
  • Tie-lines and device bypass
  • Router, Modular, Satellite, 4-wire conference control
  • Presets and Salvo's
  • Device chains and Virtual Devices
  • Task scheduling and 3rd party/web application management
  • Device monitoring and alarming, including SNMP and GPI integration

New plug-in modules are easily added based on customer requirements, with many typical broadcast scenarios already catered for.

A Pilot client retrieves its configuration from a central server, always delivering the latest control to its users. This gives administrators a single point of backup for easy archive of an entire system's configuration.

Familiar Design tools

Pharos Pilot features the popular Pilot Designer, a drag and drop design tool for rapid panel creation, editing and deployment.
