Integrated desktop search tools and browse are available to all users both locally and offsite to seamlessly access content from throughout the enterprise, including the archive. SD and HD video and multi-language audio material is streamed to the web browser by Mediator which means files do not need to be transferred to the client workstation. Any number of users can review content which is usually encoded using a Mpeg 4, H.264 low resolution copy of the main asset in the embedded QuickTime viewer.
Mediator workflow tasks such as Spot Check use the browse viewer to quickly identify and verify material following ingest. Where other media preparation tasks such as compliance review or approval need to be carried out at the desktop either in-house or remotely, Mediator Browse enables these to be carried out immediately.
