At last year's IBC we were pleased to announce Mediator 4, version 2 and many of our customers are already benefiting from the new features and platform enhancements made available in that release.

Mediator 4 enables access to any content metadata in your broadcast system by providing powerful search tools right at your desktop. Search is always available regardless of the task you're in, allowing you to explore related content without breaking the workflow and leaving the current task.

In our first Feature Focus we'll take you through Mediator 4's search tools and show how search can be used operationally to make better creative decisions:

Hello!

It is my great pleasure to be able to start blogging about the work we do at Pharos, empowering companies to put more channels, languages and services to air (and the web), faster.

It's fair to say that the users and operators of Mediator, Playtime and Pilot really are the people that make it all tick. Their feedback and suggestion make for a continuously improving and more productive platform for everyone to use. This blog aims to empower them with Hints & Tips, Shortcuts and How-To's to not only discover new features, but also to get even better value out of the plaform they have invested in.

If you're new to Pharos products, we'll be defining things as we go so if you're not sure of the terminology, you'll learn in no time.

The feedback from IBC gave us some great ideas on how to enable users and operators to get more out of Mediator, Playtime and Pilot. As a result we will be publishing a series of 5 minute Feature Focus videos that will walk you through specific features throughout product range.

We'll be publishing from late September throughout October, so feel free to browse the rest of the site and make yourself familar with Pharos and our products.
